Red Velvet Brownies

Nothing says "I love you" like a fluffy fresh-baked dessert meal on the table for your family.

These red velvet brownies come together so easily with our favorite gluten-free boxed brownie, Simple Mills, combined with a few tablespoons of beetroot powder.

The result is a decadent deep red velvet brownie that will make your family's eyes always sparkle with delight.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted and cooled

  • 3 tablespoons water

  • 2 eggs

  • 3 tablespoons beetroot powder

  • 1 box Simple Mills Brownie Mix

  • Optional - Simple Mills Vanilla Frosting

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line an 8x8 square baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine coconut oil, water, eggs, and beetroot powder. Whisk well until smooth. Pour in the brownie mix and stir until incorporated.

  3. Pour brownie mix in baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes or until brownies are set and a fork comes out clean if poked in the middle.

  4. Allow brownies to cool and add optional vanilla frosting or eat plain. Enjoy!
