Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken Tacos

5 ingredients and 5 minutes of prep - say hello to the easiest dinner on the planet that always remains a hit at my house! Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken Tacos are a great classic because it makes a hearty batch of chicken taco meat that can be put in tortillas and then topped with guacamole, sauteed onions and peppers, pickled jalapenos, or anything your heart desires! You’ll definitely want to add this on to your list of easy meal ideas!

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)

  • 1 cup chicken bone broth

  • 16 oz jar salsa OR 15 oz. can fire-roasted tomatoes

  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (or use 1 teaspoon of each: cumin, chili powder, garlic powder)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Serve with tortillas and any toppings you desire: avocado or guacamole, pico de gallo, sauteed onions and bell peppers, cilantro, sour cream, pickled jalapenos.

Directions:

  1. Add all 5 ingredients to your crockpot. Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.

  2. Once cooking time is finished, remove chicken and shred. Place chicken pack in crockpot and stir well. Serve with tortillas and your favorite toppings.
