Pumpkin Latte

It's October and that can mean only one thing- PUMPKINS!

For 9 months out of the year, pumpkins don't have a leading role in our kitchens, but there's just something about fall that makes you crave pumpkin everything.

Fall used to mean "treating" ourselves to one of those pumpkin spice lattes from the corner coffee giant, but after some further investigation, we knew it was time to let that habit go. 

With more sugar than an entire pack of starburst candies plus artificial flavoring and toxic caramel coloring, I headed back in the kitchen to find a deliciously simple alternative.

There will be no beverage FOMO over here. 

This Pumpkin Latte has REAL PUMPKIN and is totally free of refined sugars, dairy, added flavors and preservatives.

Pumpkin Latte

serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp pumpkin puree 

  • 3/4 cup coffee or teecino (coffee alternative)

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk or other plant based milk

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan over medium-high heat.  Simmer for 5 minutes.

  2. Carefully, use a milk frother or immersion blender in the pot to blend and whip ingredients until foamy.  Don't have a milk frother?  You can also carefully transfer the liquid to a blender, cover the top with a towel, and blend until foamy.

  3. Pour into a mug and enjoy.
