I used to be super addicted to the classic coffee creamers and would never think of trying anything else in my coffee.
I've started making my own now that I know that I was drinking straight sugar and partially hydrogenated oil (aka trans fat). No wonder I felt terrible an hour later!
I've also struggled with store bought creamers lately since I'm breastfeeding and I'm virtually certain anything dairy hurts my 5 month old's stomach.
So HOLY CREAMER am I a happy lady.
I just made my own dairy-free creamer and it has been nothing short of life changing!!

Coconut Coffee Creamer
- 5 dates, pitted
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup coconut cream
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Add dates and hot water to a blender or food processor and blend on high.
Add in coconut cream, almond milk, and vanilla extract. Blend on high again. Make sure you blend it long enough that all the dates are pureed.
Store in an air-tight container for up to a week.
